Primary Task Response: Within the Discussion Board area, write 400-600 words that respond to the following questions with your thoughts, ideas, and comments. This will be the foundation for future discussions by your classmates. Be substantive and clear, and use examples to reinforce your ideas.
There are several steps involved with the development of new public policy. Research how the U.S. federal government develops new, or revises existing, public policy. Considering all of the steps or stages involved in creating or revising public policy, answer the following questions:
• At what stage in the development of homeland security policies is it most important to consider the impact of the U.S. Constitution on those policies? Explain.
o Your response should indicate at what stage in the policy process it is most important to consider the impact of the Constitution, and your response should provide your support for your position.
• Why did you select your chosen point in the policy process? Explain in detail.
