Assignment: Business Articles
Details:
Choose a subject that interests you within the framework of the class, or a current issue that interests you, that has class relevancy. Find an article from one of the approved journals listed on the class syllabus that relates to this interest. You'll be showing how it is an example of something we've already covered in class, either in discussion or text.
The write up:
• Review the required format, next page
• The paper should be 2-3 pages, single spaced, 12 pointtypewritten font.
• Scan the article and submit with your paper in your D2L dropbox. (Note:no article, no credit). If you do not have access to a scanner, you may copy the article, staple to your paper and turn in prior to the due date listed in the class schedule. No late submissions will be accepted for extra credit.
• Please be conscious of typos and grammar, as points will be taken for errors.
The article:
• selected from one of the approved journals listed in the class syllabus.
• a minimum of 500 words
• current (<12mths)
• a maximum of two articles.Internetarticles are fine, as long as they are from one of the journals or magazines listed in the class syllabus.
You have an opportunity to hand in 2 separate articles by the due date listed in the class schedule. Articles can be handed in prior to the due date, however, the due date is not movable and late submissions will not be accepted.

Part 1 Summary
Summarize the main points/issues of the article, using your own words. This is NOT just a recital of what's in the article. You'll need to show me that you've read the article and digested the ideas.What are the main issues that are in the core of the article, summarized?
Part 2 Class Relevance
How does this relate to the class material? Where (give chapter/page #) and how is this discussed in the text? If the subject matter is something we discussed in class, please give the class date.
Part 3 Personal View
Why did you choose this article? What made you read it? Why, exactly, does this interest you? What is your opinion on this subject?Using the issue(s) from Part 1, what do you suggest, and why?
