Assignment Brief on CRISIS COMMUNICATION

Instructions :

This assignment is marked out of (20) marks . Students who express originality in their work will earn more marks. The students are expected to used real life cases of crisis to express how they would handle the area of crisis communication incase they are confronted by such crises in the future.

Assignment brief 1

Look for any crisis case of your choice from any of the world. From that case , read and analyze it and explain what the crisis was , how it happened and how it was handled. From you're your understanding , explain whether the crisis was handled well or not. If the crisis was handled well , why do you say so ? And if the crisis was not handled well , why do you so ? Give reasons to explain your position.

Assignment brief 2
From this crisis you are going to assume the role of a Journalist and at the same time the role of spokesperson of the organization that is undergoing the crisis.

Here you are expected to develop a Question and Answer (Q&A) interview in relation to the crisis. In other words as a journalist you are expected to ask " tough " question about the crisis and a company spokesperson. you are supposed to answer the questions skillfully and professionally. So in this ( Q&A) develop seven (7) good questions as the journalist the crisis you have chosen , and at the same time answer the question as the spokesperson of the company in crisis.

In the last part of the assignment , you are supposed to record a video of the above Q&A in assignment brief (2).Someone else should ask you the question as a journalist and then you should answer as the company spokesperson.

In this part of the assignment , try to make good use of body language such as gestures. facialexpression and posture. Try also as much as possible to audible and articulate in your voice.
