You have learned that managing a center for addictions and recovery is a daunting task. You are opening the doors to the center today. You are an admissions counselor. It is your job to evaluate the needs of the incoming clients and send them to the appropriate starting place in your facility.

For example, an adult male (55 years old) is brought to the center by his 30-year-old daughter. He appears inebriated and reports that he is seeing little men around him. His hands are unsteady and he is slurring some of his words.

• What are the steps you might take with this client?
• Where would you send him first to ensure continuity of care?
• How would you handle calls from the daughter wanting to know what is going on with her dad?
• Are there any confidentiality issues that need to be addressed?

Make sure your response includes the following:

• Title page
• Abstract
• Introduction (300-400 words)
• Content (1,200-1,300 words)
• Conclusion
• References, including 2 scholarly sources dated within the last 2 years

Assignment 2

Your instructor has returned your Week 4 Individual Project Key Assignment with comments and suggestions to improve your overall plan. Additionally, you have had the opportunity to discuss your case and plan with your peers.

Assignment Guidelines

• Revise and amend your Key Assignment by adding your instructor's comments- (Opportunities for improvement: You listed many statements, but didn't fully state the issues. As an example, what is the explanation? Where were the budget numbers, etc. We needed to see details about you project.). Add this to your plan, and submit your final draft.

• Address the following, and add your responses to your Key Assignment Final Draft:

o Continuing with the grant proposal that you outlined, research funding sources for your proposal.

o Searching the Internet, including private, local, state, and federal Web sites, locate at least 3 grant opportunities that might be pursued for your grant proposal.

o Provide a brief overview of each funding opportunity and how your grant proposal relates to the opportunity.

o In addition to the overview, you should rank the 3 grant opportunities based on what makes the most sense for your agency.

o Lastly, you gave a detailed description of at least 4 of the elements in a grant proposal (assessment, project description, organizational capability, and evaluation plan).

o You are now to complete those 4 sections of the grant proposal based on your outline and your supervisor's (instructor's) feedback from Week 4.
