As the new academic coach, the new principal on your campus is expecting you to support a coaching program for all teachers on the campus and he asked you to help him develop a coaching plan. The first step is to help the principal understand the differences between coaching and mentoring.
Create a Venn diagram of the characteristics, roles, and responsibilities of coaching and mentoring.
Prepare a handout, brochure, poster, or other job aid that you can share with the principal and teachers on your campus that highlights the similarities and differences between coaching and mentoring.

COACHING PLAN QUESTIONS:
Prepare a list of 7 to 10 questions for the principal who is looking to you to help develop a coaching plan.
Provide a rationale for each question and an explanation of how the principal's responses will help guide you in developing the most effective plan for this implementation.
