Assignment #1 Week 3 will require you to determine what a fixture is and how to recognize them in your home. You will take a walk through your home to identify five fixtures and provide a written description.
Part I: Take a walk through your property after studying the rules pertaining to fixtures and identify 5 items in your home that are considered fixtures and 5 items in your home that are considered personal property.
Part II: Describe how to distinguish between a fixture and personal property, using support from your text and one APUS Library source. Identify any issues that may arise between a renter and landlord or buyer and seller during a real estate transaction (i.e., describe any difficulties you had in differentiating each item in your home).
This analysis is to be completed using APA formatting and will require the following:
- Be double-spaced throughout.
- Have an APA style Header (See Hints).
- Be formatted throughout in APA style (See Hints).
- Use 12-point, Times New Roman font
- Have an introductory paragraph with a thesis statement.
- Include a body of the paper with support from your text. Body of paper must be 4 to 6 pages in length.
- Use APA formatting for citations and references (See Hints).
- Have a conclusion that sums up the points in your paper.
- Have a reference page that is formatted in APA style.
- The two references are required. One is your text and the other must be from the APUS Library; however, you may use other references in addition to the text. Wikipedia and other sites like this are not considered valid academic sources.
Upon completion, upload your Fixture Analysis to the Assignments area of the classroom following the steps described in Uploading Assignments at the end of the syllabus.
