Imagine you are the HR manager at a company. You need to hire three (3) new people. One employee will work at the front desk as a customer service assistant, and the other two (2) will work on the production line. Give at least five (5) places you would recruit for each position and explain why each place would be a viable option.

1. Select at least five (5) places you would recruit for a customer service assistant and at least five (5) places you would recruit for production line workers.

2. Explain why each place you selected would be a viable option for recruiting employees.

The goal of HRM is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of employees while simultaneously improving the work life of employees and treating them as valuable resources. What do you believe the HR department at your company, or a company you've worked for in the past, has done to achieve those goals?

Having the right HR personal is very crucial for any organization if company has well educated and qualified HR personal, who knows how to hire the right person for the job. HR is the first step in to any organization which make this department very important. HR personal must have people oriented personality since they have to deal with people enormously. Continues communication with the managers keep the organization everyday task smoother and faster, make sure everyone understand companies policies, and time to time training and policy reviews must be done.

Based on your experience and Chapter2 in your textbook (The Legal Environment), select the compliance issue that you believe is the most challenging for an average HR department. Provide a rationale with your response. Then, respond to at least one (1) of your classmates who choose a different challenge and try and persuade them to your way of thinking.

I think the most challenging situations a HR department can face i around the sexual harassment topic. I think this is difficult because it is really around what each party is saying and taking their work for it. i think the its really just harassment in general not only sexual harassment. It is very challenging to be subjective in these situations. When someone can fell that they aren't doing anything wrong and the other party is just over reacting. I think the bottom line is if someone feels threatened enough to go to HR that there is an issue that needs to be addressed or discussed

Using the five questions the Fruit Guys used to determine their effectiveness, complete an environmental scanning. Is the company effective, and what factors influence the strategy you as HR Director address as a result of the environmental scan?

I chose to write about T-mobile because of the appreciation that they show to their customers. They maintain their customers by having a program called T-mobile Tuesday. They give away anything from pizzas to free or discounted movie tickets to the new movies that are out. They have features like the hot spot on our cellphones for no additional charge. I feel they have kept my attention and business so long because they do everything they can to make my interaction great and resolve my problems.
