Assignment 1: Critical Analysis of a Global Health Initiative

This assignment will assess competency 6. Apply strategies to identify and apply current best practices.

Directions: Select a country (other than the US and Canada) and a global health initiative of your choice which is presently ongoing in this country. Conduct an analysis of this initiative; consider the following items in your analysis:

1) the nature of the health initiative

2) the population that the initiative targets

3) the overall health needs of this population

4) resources that were used and applied as part of the health initiative

5) advertising or marketing efforts that have been used relating to the initiative

6) environmental, social, physical and cultural barriers which needed to be addressed as part of the initiative

7) approaches used to assess the success or failure of the initiative and data that has been collected

8) lessons learned from the initiative that have relevance and application to the overall global health care sector and your workplace/community.

Assignment 2: Leadership across Cultures

This assignment will assess competency 7. Propose a Human Resource Management strategy and specific organizational behaviors that are best suited for global business organizations.

Directions

The due diligence analyses on the three countries chosen in LP1 will wrap up in this assignment with the exploration of management decision making processes. For each of your countries, you will discuss the benefits bringing the diversity of the workforce will have for your company. You will compare and contrast the various aspects of U.S. human resource management against those of your chosen countries. You will examine what motivates the local workforce and the style of leadership which is prevalent in your countries. You will contrast those against what our U.S. company would utilize. A minimum of two pages per country is required and you will follow APA (6th edition) formatting (no abstract is required for this milestone) with title and reference pages, indented paragraphs and a minimum of four APA formatted references and associated in-text citations. This information, and that of the following LPs, will become part of your final project artifact.

Assignment 3: Project Presentation

This assignment will assess all competencies on the course syllabus.

Directions

For your final presentation, create a PowerPoint presentation which includes information about each of your three chosen countries. First, describe your selection process for each country. Second, present your choice (or choices) of country for future expansion by your company. If you have found that none of the three countries are a good fit, you can make a case for that as well. That is the whole purpose of the due diligence process is to research so you can make and back up those educated decisions.

This should be presented as a professional presentation for senior management. What you would say during the presentation should be written out in the notes section at the bottom of each slide. (They will be listening to what you say in the presentation while they are looking at your slides. You do not want them to have to read your data.)

The information should come from the five milestone projects you have created. You must have a title slide and reference slides at the end. You would not put citations on the slides, but into the notes area.

There is not a set number of slides which are required, but remember you are presenting to your senior management. You want to impress them with enough slides to get your points across, but not overload them. This is a high level presentation, so you are going to want to stick with what you found and how you came to your conclusions.
