Assignment -
This is an individual assignment that extends the first assignment. Taking the perspective of the organisation examined in Assessment Item 1 students are to select one of the following:
1. Governance
2. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
3. Knowledge management and eCommerce
Students are to provide an overview of the chosen area and assess how it would be utilised by the organisation as a means of enhancing business practice.
The format of the assessment is a report of 1500-2000 words in length.
Students are to demonstrate knowledge of the subject matter by:
- Defining relevant terms, theories and concepts presented in topics 6-8.
- Showing an ability to utilise the specific contextual factor chosen, explain key details and assess its impact on the relevant firm or organisation
- Showing an ability to explain major domestic and international contextual factors and how they affect business structures and strategy.
- Demonstrating a breadth and quality of research by using a minimum of 12-16 academic sources.
- Correctly using the APA in text referencing system to correctly citing academic sources.
As Masters students, you are required to engage in research as per the Australia Quality Framework (AQF) guidelines. Two specific requirements need to be considered. 1. Students need to demonstrate "a body of knowledge that includes the understanding of recent developments in a discipline and/or area of professional practice, and 2. Students must demonstrate "knowledge of research principles and methods applicable to a field of work and/or learning".
THE WORK OF OTHERS, WHICH IS INCLUDED IN THE ASSIGNMENT MUST BE ATTRIBUTED TO ITS SOURCE (a full list of references must be submitted as part of the assessment).
