Assignment -

Purpose - In every consulting engagement, the consultant needs to use different techniques and tools to help with problem definition, analysis and problem solving. Based on the situation and the case at hand, the consultant will be able to choose the best tool to use.

The purpose of this assignment is to allow each student to research and learn a tool, create a report and present it to class. In this manner you will be introduced to many tools and will have access to all reports.

Choice of tool - You need to choose a tool from the list available on Moodle. First come, first serve. Each tool can be chosen only once by one student only. It is recommended that you choose a tool that you have not been exposed to or used before to maximize your learning experience.

Tool is stake holder analysis.

Report - You are asked to research a tool and write a little report on this tool. The report should not be more than two pages long. The format of your word document should be a professional looking report and presentation.

You should divide your report into three sections as follows:

-  Intention (Why and when do I use it?)

-  Purpose (What does it do?)

-  Instructions (How do I use it?)

By completing these three sections and answering these questions, your report should provide any reader enough information about this tool and help them understand what it is for and how to use it in a consulting engagement. ?You have to include a cover page. The font should be one of the following: Arial, Times New Roman, or Calibri. The font size should not be less than 12 pts. ?Presentation ?You will be presenting your tool to your class to explain what is the tool of your choice and how to use it. You should approach this presentation as if you are trying to educate your client about this tool and how it will help with the consulting engagement. ?Prepare a 3-minute presentation using MS PowerPoint.
