Assignment : Performance Appraisal and Training

Directions: Based on the job analysis you did in Assignment 1 create a performance appraisal system for the job of hair dresser/barber
Your performance appraisal must have:

(1) At least 1 rating scale (graphic rating scale, BARS, checklists, employee comparisons and a justification (reasons) why you chose to use this rating scale

(2) Choose 1 group from whom you would try to get performance ratings (supervisors, peers, customers) and why this group would be appropriate to give feedback to the barber/hairdresser.

(3) Name 1 rating error that this group might make and give an example of how the error might occur

(4) Would you use a 360 performance appraisal for the job of hairdresser? Why?

Let's say that the barber shop you work for has a group of barbers that are very good at styling hair. But based on some customer feedback from online reviews you realize that the barbers are not very good at providing high quality customer service.

(1)Choose 1 training method that you would use to train the barbers on customer service? Choose 1 learning principle that you would include in the training program. Explain why you chose the training method and the learning principle.
