Assignment : Introduction to International Relations

After viewing the documentaries (links below and on Blackboard), please provide short answers to the following questions below (less than 200-word answers):

1. The "free market does not always work as expected." Use a theoretical framework you have learned about in class to describe briefly how the events narrated in "The Untouchables" illustrate this phrase.

2. Briefly describe the international causes of the poverty experienced by the children and their families as depicted in the documentary "Poor Kids."

3. There are several road signs in the documentary "Poor Kids" showing statistics on child poverty in America. List and briefly discuss the statistics on two of these road signs.

4. Describe the role of three countries in the rise of ISIS as narrated in the documentary "The Rise of ISIS."

5. Describe how the events narrated in "Rape in the Fields" illustrate one of the post-positive concerns you have read about in your course text.

6. Briefly outline and draw a connecting theoretical, or other theme, between the contents of any threeof the documentaries you watched.
