For this assignment you will choose an assessment or intervention model or strategy covered in the course and review the behavioral literature to evaluate the model.

The model/topic you choose should be approved by the instructor.

Students are required to find at least five (5) applied behavioral studies in peer-reviewed journals on the chosen topic and write a 5-8 page paper reviewing the studies selected to evaluate the model.

An applied behavioral study for the purpose of this assignment is a peer-reviewed article in which the author or authors discuss a behavior analytic assessment or intervention the author(s) implemented in the study. It is strongly recommended that you select studies in which single-subject research designs were used. Reviewing articles that describe and/or discuss other authors' studies (such as literature reviews) instead of applied behavioral studies will make it difficult if not impossible for you to successfully complete this assignment.

Each applied behavioral study should be discussed in the paper, and the findings of the studies should then be synthesized to evaluate the effectiveness of the assessment or intervention model that was implemented in the studies. Students should conclude with a statement about the effectiveness of the model based on the research reviewed. Careful attention should be paid to the rubric that appears in the syllabus regarding the requirements that must be met in this assignment.
