Assignment -
For team assessments: Each person on a team will typically receive the same grade for an assessment. The highest possible grade on the team project will be based on what is submitted as the team end-product. However, a team member's grade may be adjusted downward for a specific assessment if the faculty member determines the quality of that person's participation to be substandard. To allow your faculty member to review team member contributions to all team assessments, each team member is required to post all contributions in the team's discussion area.
Formulate and post a team work plan to your Team Study Group, and title it "GX - Team Work Plan" where X is your group number.
This work plan will serve as a rough outline of what you plan to do; you will almost surely revise it as you work on the project. Most work plans for this project will run 1-3 pages. You are welcome to update and post revisions to your work plan as time goes on, but it is not required.
Only one person needs to submit the work plan; all group members should agree to it.
There are several good team work plan templates available on the Internet. Any will do. You can also draft your own. Your team work plan should contain:
- Team member names, contact information, and best times/ways to reach you (such as "please do not call after 9 pm Eastern" or "email is the best way to reach me" or "I have all day Saturday free.")
- List of the tasks and who will do what, by when
- Conflict resolution protocol (it should start within the group, and can escalate to professor if necessary.)
- Team behavior expectations ("respond to all email within 24 hours; be on time with your deliverables") and consequences if these expectations are not met ("if we do not hear from you within 24 hours and you have not submitted your deliverable, we may assign it to somebody else")
As with all of your work here, please post all substantial contributions and discussions to our LEO classroom. This includes offline discussions such as email (just copy and paste your email chain into the LEO study group) and rough drafts of code or documents authored offline.
