Following questions should be used as a guide to work on the report and presentation:

1. Why did Bidder Inc. want to acquire Target Inc.? Talk about motives, including fit, scale, hubris, etc.

2. How did the two companies' stock prices react to the merger announcement?

3. How is the deal structured? Stock/cash?

4. Perform a FCF valuation of a. Target Inc. b. Bidder Inc.

5. Will this merger/acquisition be successful? How is "success" defined? How would you predict the probability of success and what do you think are the main determinants of the likelihood of success? What is the main threat in this merger?
