Task - The business rationale for diversity management (Topic 3)

(Topic 3) - CERA

Study the business rationale for diversity management and the debates surrounding this using the information in Topic 3, and at least 10 additional sources. At least five of the additional sources must be academic journals or books/book chapters published in the last five years.

Then, answer these questions:

1. Are you convinced by the business rationale argument for diversity management in CERA; or, is it better to focus on merit alone without any other action?

2. Based on your answer to 1. What argument would you make to Mark French regarding the business case for focusing on diversity management?

Business Report Format -

Title page (not included in the word count)

Title of report- should clearly describe what the report is about

Executive summary. This is a summary of the whole report. Outline the task, the argument and the conclusion/s (approx. 200 words).

Table of contents (not included in the word count). List the major and minor sections of your report.

Introduction: Set the scene; give some background information about the issue that you're looking at; state the aim/purpose of the report. Provide an outline of the main sections in the body of the report (approx. 200 words).

Body: Organise the body of the report into sections with clear headings. Numbering is optional.

Your report should include discussion of the questions using language and a writing style that is appropriate for a business report. This discussion must include correctly cited evidence drawn from appropriate sources (approx. 1,800 words).

Conclusion: Summarise what has been achieved in the report.
