Support the development of literacy and oral language

Question 1

A description of the writing process is provided in table outlining

a. Genre/writing styles and purpose

b. year level

c. amount of text required

d. resources used at each stage of the process

e. teaching support strategies used by the teacher and/or teacher aide at each stage of the process

f. actions by students at each stage of the process

g. literacy skills used (e.g. identify where there were links in the use of oral language, reading and writing by ticking in the column provided)

Question 2

Provide reading support to 2 (two) students with differing support needs, outlining the resources, strategies and students responses.

Question 3

A numeracy resource is provided to assist two (2) or more students. Screen shots OR photos are provided.

Question 4

Numeracy resource is used to support two different students. Table is completed outlining concepts supported, learning styles, barriers, skills and knowledge and instructions required.

Part -2:

Question 1

In consultation with your teacher, observe or support an actual WRITING lesson with a whole class or a small group of students. Complete table below.

Question 2

In consultation with your teacher, you are required to provide reading support to TWO (2) students in the classes in which you are working. The students should have different reading support needs.

Design a Numeracy resource.

1. In consultation with your teacher, design your own NUMERACY learning resource that could be used to assist TWO (2) or more students in a numeracy activity.

2. While you are creating your resource, take photos or screen shots to show the process.

1. Use your numeracy resource with TWO (2) students.

Note: For confidentiality reasons, students are to be referred to as Student A and Student B.
