Assessment Task: Group Oral Presentation - Health profile of a population group

This assessment task allows you to increase your team work skills, gain confidence presenting and study a topic relevant to your discipline. It will also provide you with foundation skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in later units (such as HSH211 Australian Health Care System).

Your presentation should cover the following issues:

1. What is the current status of the population and what are the specific health issues they are facing? Consider here data from the ABS, AIHW, and other sources.

2. Why does this group face poorer/better health? Consider here how your chosen group compares with other sub-groups. Also think about certain determinants that may explain why your population has poorer/better health.

3. What is being done to address this population's health concerns? Consider here if there are policies, programs, or other initiatives that are being used to address the health problem(s). You could also consider what the literature suggests should be done.

Formatting Requirements - Guidelines for presentation:

Each team members name on the introduction slide.

Clear and consistent formatting.

Easy to read font size (e.g 20pt).

Create exciting and engaging slides.

The reference style you have selected (Harvard or APA).
