Assessment Task: Disability Inclusion

Strategy

Focus on your chosen community organisation from AT1. Develop a strategy to include people with disability in the organisation using community capacity building principles. Present your strategy creatively. For example, you may present it in written form (3000 words), or in a multimedia format such as a video or narrated PowerPoint presentation (20 minutes). Submit by September 28th, 2018.

1. This assessment is worth 60% of your overall unit mark.
2. If you would like feedback on a draft, please submit that draft by September 14th, 2018 to your mentor.

Prepare the assignment for ‘One Health organisation' Australian context

Please look for the barriers that are present in the organisation that limits the participation of people with disability into the organisation (you can make it by yourself but have to show that you were in contact with the organisation about this)

Then suggest 5-6 strategies that will counter these barriers using the community capacity building methods.

Main focus is on strategies not on the barriers (one paragraph of about 400 words in enough for barriers)
