ASSESSMENT DETAILS AND INSTRUCTIONS

There are 3 questions/statements that need to be addressed.

Create a central claim that all three areas support. Your claim should be about management in the hospitality industry. Please make your claim as specific as possible. It is important to show how these three areas are connected and relate to each other in terms of effective management and the competing values framework.

1. Identify a visionary leader in the hospitality industry. Describe how they are/were effective, given the material from the chapter on vision.

2. Discuss the basic idea behind "content" theories of motivation. How do these types of theories help managers in the hospitality industry more effectively motivate their employees?

3. Which individual barriers to creative thinking do you feel are most challenging in the hospitality industry? How can a manager overcome these barriers?

A minimum of 3 in-text references are required. At least 2 references should be from academic journals. References should be in support of your claim.
