Assessment: Cost Volume Profit and Sustainability

Learning objectives: This assignment covers cost volume profit analysis and sustainability concepts covered in BUSN104. There are two parts to this assignment, please read below for full instructions of each Part. The assignment is listed in the 'Assignment 1' tile on LEO.

Instructions to Part B:

Step 1. Choose your group members (between 3 and 5).

Step 2. Go to the ASX discussion forum located in the Assignment 1 tile in LEO. This forum contains a list of the top 200 companies on the Australian Stock Exchange. As a group of 3 - 5 students, you are to choose one of these companies with which to complete Part B of Assignment 1.

Step 3. You must respond to the forum with a choice of one of the companies in the list together with the names of all members of the group. Simply write the full names of all students within your group as well as the full name of the company your group has chosen together with the corresponding count number (eg 1 or 2 or 3 etc.) DO NOT choose a company that has already been chosen by another group; all groups are to have their own unique company. For example: Wendy James, Jan Jones, Matthew O'Hallaran, Lisa McGovern, Calen Johns - BHP Billiton Limited, number 26

Once your group has chosen a company, go to its web site or ACU library and search for its latest annual report and sustainability report (if available). Once you have these reports each student within the group can answer one of the questions listed below. You will need to work collaboratively with your group to ensure that you each, fully and comprehensively, answer the questions below. Note: Each student within the group must answer a different question to somebody else in the group; students within a group cannot choose the same question to answer.

Company is Ramsay Health Care.
