ASSESSMENT: Company based problem

Introduction

This assignment will be continuing from Assignment. Use the same company used in Assignment.

After conducting a SWOT for the company, focus on threats and opportunities for the organisation. Recommend strategies to eliminate threats and maximise the opportunities. In doing this, please note:

- If you are an accounting student, consider the threats from management accounting, corporate accounting, or financial management perspective (You may use figures and tables as appropriate)

- If you are an MBA student, consider the risks from business perspective. Depending on the threats identified, you may suggest strategies which may be relating to marketing, customer relations, inter-organisational, etc. You may use appropriate figures and tables or other adapted information.

1. Introduction:

Re-introduce the organisation briefly from assignment 1. Explain in few sentences as to what you will report in this assignment.

2. Methodological Framework:

- Introduction of theory as applicable to this situation
o Ensure that you include appropriate definitions and current (last 5 years), information as can be applied to the context. Remember that you will apply theory as a lens for analysis

- Explain the rationale for selecting this theory framework for analysis.

- Describe the elements of the theory in detail, in your own words, and as you will apply to the case, clearly.

o Diagrams may be drawn, or adapted with sources evidenced in footnote. Providing a simple copy of an existing diagram or figure is insufficient. It has to be adapted with your contributions.

- Review of the industry sector:

o Using existing literature sources from 2015-2018, review the industry sector that the organisation is located in, based in Australia
o Provide an Outlook for the industry sector.

o The analysis should arrive at how the opportunities can be leveraged.

o Analyse the findings in detail using theory elements as appropriate.
o The analysis should arrive at how the threats can be mitigated and converted to opportunities.
o Apply theory as a lens for analysis.

4. Conclusions and Recommended Strategies

- Using the knowledge from the above, provide some conclusions. Note that conclusions are the ‘so what' from the analysis and not a summary.

- Provide a set of Personal recommended strategies for the organisation.
o Note that this section will not have references, and is rather your own contribution.
