As leaders we need to make sure that what needs to be addressed is addressed and not ignored - we must take action where action is needed. But we need to fine tune that ability to ensure we are not spending too much time in menial tasks that can be resolved on their own. As a leader myself, I assess what takes place in my organization and get involved when I know that the issue at hand may not be resolved to the satisfaction of all. However, there are times (such as when there is conflict between employees), where I may choose to take a step back and allow the situation to fix itself between the individuals in question.
