Art Appreciation Gallery: Principles of Design
For Unit VI of the Art Appreciation Gallery presentation, you will be adding descriptions the artists' principles of design for your gallery pieces to your PowerPoint presentation. Begin by reviewing your Unit IV feedback and making any necessary revisions. Next, research the elements using your textbook, the course content, and/or the Internet, and describe the style of all six pieces. Complete the slides titled "Design Principles." This portion does not have a specific PowerPoint slide length, but must meet the below criteria:
• Include a detailed description of the design principles of each artwork (e.g., rhythm, patterns, balance).
• Remember that you must cite your sources according to APA style.
• You may use one slide to describe the design principles of multiple artworks if each artwork has the same author and shares similarities in design principles.
• Please submit your full presentation thus far, which should include the previous updated segments and the segment for this unit. To access the presentation template, an example presentation, and other PowerPoint resources, click on the "Resources" link in the course menu bar of Blackboard.
Unit VI Essay
Read the article by Wagner titled "Top 10 Disappearing Futures" located in the ABI/Inform database of the CSU Online Library. Choose one of the disappearing futures and write a paper at least two pages in length discussing it. Discuss the importance of the future you chose and how it relates to technology trends. Find at least one additional article in the CSU Online Library related to your disappearing future.
Your paper must use APA style guidelines and include a title, abstract, and reference page. Be sure to list all sources in the reference page and use in-text citations where appropriate. The title, abstract, and reference pages are not included in the required minimum page length.
