Arguably, airports are the most prominently spotlighted sector when discussing environmental issues related to aviation/aerospace industries. The scrutiny is due in part to the fact that airports are permanent facilities housed in the local communities and operated by local governments. Good or bad, when taxpayers' funds support airport activities directly or indirectly, the public is informed. As such airports provide a good opportunity to examine current projects related to the environmental pillar of sustainability.

Conduct additional research on the San Francisco International Airport and then develop a case analysis paper that includes the following aspects:
- Description and summary of the problem.
- Significance of the problem - Identify why the issue needed to be addressed, how long was the problem evident and costs to remedy the concern.
- Based on the information reviewed and the solution(s) selected, what other alternatives did the airport consider or what other options were available?
- Recommendation(s) - What would you recommend as a solution or alternative to resolving the issue? The solution selected by airport leadership may be the best environmental based answer, but was it the most sustainable or inclusive one?
The case analysis paper should be three to five pages in length. Be concise and craft the information similar to an executive summary. The case analysis should be written in proper APA format and include a minimum of three references.
