The U.S. economy continues in recession after two years of the Obama Administration's economic policies. You have been hired by the "Colbert for President" Committee to explain the principles of fiscal and monetary policy to the candidate.

Make sure you consider Keynes when discussing fiscal policy and the role of the Federal Reserve Bank "Fed" when discussing monetary policy. Explain to him the actions he should take during recessionary and inflationary times.

Also, point out the actions the Fed should take when the economy enters a recession and an inflationary cycle. Discuss timing issues with each policy. You might also suggest that he remind the Fed of their mistake during the Great Depression (explain to her how the Fed made its mistake).
