All of us are prone to wanting to believe information that is presented to us but we often don't challenge that information. We believe certain stories and myths because they have been told to us for years by people we trust yet we never question the original source of the information. One area that we fall victim to almost daily is in the news that is delivered to us by the trustworthy TV anchors or our daily newspaper. This week I would like for you to select a story presented in a US media source and also view that story that is presented by a foreign media source. For example check out BBC on your computer. Having some class members located in a country other than the US can provide additional insight into how certain stories are presented or how the US is portrayed. What differences did you find in how the stories were presented? Did you question the authority of the foreign source any differently than you questioned the authority of the US source?
