Change effort that failed

In the modern global world, most organizations are prone to changes that are distinctly rapid like never before. Due to the large globalization markets have increased thus bringing forth opportunities for more revenue and growth. Diverse markets have a wide variety of needs and expectations that must be well understood for them to become active to consumers and collaborators.

In my organization, we experienced the change of marketing. Earlier on the group was used to face to face marketing strategy whereby the salesperson would have time on a one on one basis with the target consumer. The method as mentioned earlier proved cumbersome and very expensive. To reduce the costs and expenses of marketing, the organization changed from the face to face marketing to the online marketing. In online marketing, all traveling and upkeep costs were jeopardized. Time wastage by the salespersons while traveling from one target audience to the other was also reduced. The time wastage reduction yielded fruitful results since our salesperson was in a better position to interact with the consumer on an online platform. (Gabriel, n.d.)

A change effort that was relapsed after its implementation is the merging of different faculties in the organization. The decision to merge them had come up after some departments were unable to deliver adequately. The above change failed since the merging of faculties brought about superiority wars among the staff. Each of them especially the heads of the departments merged wanted to retain their position thus instead of the few deliveries the organization had several made it experienced no deliveries at all. The action had to be taken for the organization ton run regularly again. As the company's director, I had to give directives that the respective faculties should return to the normal working situation for the team to run as usual. (Sugarman, 2001)
