Activity: Choose Entrants into a Management Training Program

Activity Description

Imagine that you have been recently awarded a high profile assignment in your current human resources profession. The Vice President of Human Resources requested that you lead a new assignment to select up to 10 applicants to enter into the first management training program of the growing, high demand organization. Assume you are writing a report to an HR manager to recommend whom to select for the opening and try to address all questions he or she may have in your report.

Support your report with a minimum of three scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages

Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course by providing new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University's Academic Integrity Policy.

Assess recruitment strategies and selection techniques and the implications of ADA guidance on pre-employment inquiries.

You will learn how your own organization's strategic goals match with staffing decision making. When a final match occurs between the offer­receiver's knowledge, skill, ability, and other characteristics (KSAOs) and the job's requirements and rewards, the employment relationship is established, the job offer will be sent, and, finally, a contact will be signed.
