According to the American Diabetics Association (ADA) Web site, 7% of the U.S. population has diabetes, and 30% of those with diabetes do not even know they have the disease. Maintaining proper levels of insulin is critical for diabetes patients. The means by which insulin can be regulated depends upon which type of diabetes a patient has.
