A person working in the nuclear plant is receiving 1 mrem between 7:00 am-9:00 am, 2 mrem between 9:00 am-10:30 am, 3 mrem between 10:30 am-15:00 pm, and 1.5 mrem between 15:00 pm-16:30 pm.

Calculate the

a. Total daily dose that the worker receives.

b. Hourly dose.

c. Suppose that a worker in this occupation works 200 days a year in the exactly same schedule with the same radiation exposure throughout the year.

Do you recommend continuing the current schedule? Why (not)?

Note that the 5 rem is the Annual limit for occupational exposure of radiation workers set by the U.S Nuclear Regulatory Commission and DOE.
