A good hypothesis is a question(s) that would be answered with the data to be collected. The goal is to develop a hypothesis that is practical and testable.

Keep in mind that the hypotheses in business situations that you are looking at have several similar points in common:

  • Development of a list of questions and answers gives you evidence of acceptance or rejection.
  • If the hypothesis requires more than seven questions to test, it is probably too general or too complex.
  • If hypothesis requires only one question, it is more than likely propositional, not diagnostic.
  • Avoid questions that have no answer or only one answer.
  • Avoid questions that take you outside the scope of your objective and project.

Please answer the question in 100 words or more.

The reading for this week is Chapter 5 & 6
