A company that manufacturers kitchen products wants to add a set of plastic storage bowls or containers to its product line. The company wants to distribute the product through Wal-Mart, Target, or a chain of stores in your region. Do the Following.

1. Determine the order-winning and qualifying criteria for the product.

2. Select the store chains that would sell the products.

3. Determine the total number of units sold per week by the store chains

4. Calculate the number of products that must be produced per hour to meet store shipment requirements. Assume two shifts working 5 days a week.

5. Determine the manufacturing process required to make each part of the product

6. Adjust number of products needed per week by adding in replacement products for products discarded because of quality issues. Use the captured quality value for calculations.

7. Find the number of parts produced per hour when quality is concerned.
