1. Schwalbe states: To understand a person's behavior, one must understand the context.  What is meant by context? Research ways people of Arab and Chinese nationalities may meet their (universal) needs and resolve their (universal) fears.   Provide a brief comparison of those cultures to your own ways of meeting your needs and resolving your fears in your own (American) cultural context.

2. One course goal was to learn how we can work productively with others who may differ in significant ways, opening ourselves to understanding individual and group identities, and individuals' and group's ways of accomplishing goals. Discuss what you have learned.

5. Why do organizations create diversity initiatives and policies? What are they intended to accomplish? What are various goals of diversity initiatives and policies?  Discuss how you would change an organization's culture regarding diversity.
