There are several ways in which a mentor program and new employee orientation can assist employees with their career development, understand their existing level of skills and the path of their career to reach to the desired level of the skills. In my current position, we have a mentor program that last for the first three months of a person's time on the job.

During that period, they are paired with a seasoned peer that is responsible for some on the job training as well as aiding them with navigating the corporate culture. This is important because it aids in helping a new employee feel a part of the organization. Employees who feel a part of the organization often feel more passionate about their work.

Another reason a new employee orientation is important is because it introduces employees to corporate policies and procedure. Policies and procedures are basically the rules that an organization abides by. Often times, being able to introduce these at the onset of employment help an employee to understand what role they play in the organization, and also give insight into the organizational culture.

One last reason employee orientation and mentor ship is important is it helps new employees to become well versed in their jobs. By providing training in the first few months' employment, companies can better equip with the skills they need to do their job effectively.

It is difficult to get all the things in one job and if we get all the things in one job, again it would be difficult to get all these things at desired level. But we can have balance in all these things by making one order as per priority. For example: we need to decide that what is more important for us.

It can be money, satisfaction or work life balance. But this order may be different for every one as per their need. But a good clarity should be there in this order; it will determine its level of importance. Secondly, if we want to achieve all these things, it is important that we should work hard dedicatedly without losing our moral and ethical values for achievement of the position, power, money and satisfaction in the professional and personal life.
