1. Identify five concepts or principles related to recovery that you think are the most important in working with persons who have addictive disorders.

2. Explain why you think each principle is important for your client and for you, as an addiction professional who is trying to guide and support your client's recovery process.

3. Describe how you would incorporate each principle or concept into the counseling process. How would you help your client apply the principle to his/her own life? What kinds of interventions and/or counseling homework assignments would you give your client that would help make these five recovery principles real?
