You are thinking about serving chicken fingers for your upcoming post Exam 1 party. Since you expect to have quite a big crowd show up for the party, you decide to get the chicken delivered from either Layne's or Raising Cane's. Layne's has a mean delivery time of 34 hours while Raising Cane's has a mean delivery time of 40 hours. Although Layne's service seems faster, Raising Cane's delivery times seem more consistent because their standard deviation is only 2 hours and the standard deviation of Layne's delivery time is 6 hours. Assuming both delivery time distributions are normal, which store should we use if our food must be delivered within 43 hours?

1. Use Raising Cane's because there is only a 0.025 probability that they will take more than 43 hours.

2. Actually, it doesn't matter since both companies will deliver within 43 hours with probability 0.9332.

3. Use Raising Cane's because they are more consistent in their expected delivery time and their expected delivery time is closer to 43 hours.

4. Don't use Layne's because the probability of delivery in under 43 hours is only 0.4332.

5. Use Layne's because they have a faster expected delivery time.
