You are opening a new retail store next year. This is your chance to design the store of your dreams, but you must make some very tough decisions about your company. You may choose to own it by yourself or establish a partnership.

What are the unique qualities that sets your company apart from the competition?

Organizational Structure and Employees – 20 points

Total number of employees, plus how many employees per shift (will depend on sales volume and the atmosphere you are trying to create)

Characteristics/personality of employees (Why?)

Develop an organizational chart for your store

Estimated pay and benefits (Explain)

Services you will provide (gift wrap, shipping, atm, shipping etc.), fees if applicable, and why you are providing each service – 20 points

Overall store atmosphere (provide pictures of each item) – 25 points

Music played (radio station, genre, specific artists)

Furniture

Merchandise fixtures (be specific) How will you display your merchandise in the store?

Types of bags (provide an example of what your typical shopping bag will look like)

Other misc. items that enhance the store’s atmosphere

Project Requirements: - 10 points

Margins should be 1” for all pages (top, bottom, left, and right);

Font must be 12-point Times New Roman or Arial (throughout, including tables and figures);

For page numbering use Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3, etc.), centered, at the bottom of each page

Include: title page, copyright page, table of contents, list of tables (if any), list of figures (if any), list of abbreviations (if any), list of references;

Make sure that all your external sources are cited properly (if any), your written work will be checked through www.turninit.com;

Use double-space in text. Indent first lines of paragraphs consistently;

Make sure to use headings, tables, figures, plans, displays, sketches, bullet-list items, and equations;

There should be no more than one blank line space anywhere.
