You are a student teacher completing a capstone project so you can complete student teaching and graduate. As part of your capstone project you must show growth from the pre-test to the post-test. The college requires you to use a significance level of .05.

What are the null and alternative hypotheses (in sentences)jQuery20000033172381097910097_1523324935126

With a pre test mean of 40.41 and a post test mean of 41.16, I calculated the test statistic at .1266 and the p-value at .4503. If these are correct, wouldn't I accept the null? Confused about the practical conclusion because it appears that there was indeed growth from pre to post, except that my p-value (if correct) is greater than my significance level.
