Maximize Z1 = 4x1 + 6x2

Maximize Z2 = - 4x1 + 2x2

Subject to:

x1 - x2 ≥ -4

3x1 - 2x2 ≤ 6

x1 + x2 ≥ 5

x1 + x2 ≤ 10

x1, x2 ≥ 0

a. Plot the feasible region in decision space.

b. Plot the feasible region in objective space.

c. For each extreme point in objective space, indicate if it is non-dominated.

d. Find the solution that maximizes Z1.

e. Find the solution that maximizes Z2.

Consider the question of where you would like to live and work after you complete your engineering degree at UNB. Assume that your overall goal is to have a healthy life that is full of pleasure, meaning and fulfillment.

b. Next, choose three possible alternatives (locations in the world, different jobs, etc.). Consider each alternative in light of your chosen criteria and determine which you prefer.
