Researchers Madsen and Lof carried out a study involving reforestation in southern Scandinavia where oaks were seeded with acorns under a variety of circumstances. Germination rates (as percents) in 25 sites were recorded:
a. Produce a histogram of the data and characterize it as roughly normal, roughly symmetric but not close to normal, or showing pronounced skewness and/or outliers.
b. Considering that the sample size (25) is moderately large, can we count on the distribution of sample mean to be fairly normal?
c. Use software to produce a 95% confidence interval for the mean germination rate of all sites in similar circumstances.
