Purpose of the Study

This current research study is a quantitative study. The aim of this research study is to investigate the levels of self-efficacy and to determine whether there is a relationship in quality of life and whether there is a relationship with psychological dysfunction and the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ scores. The three components will examine whether self-efficacy makes a unique contribution to the relationship of quality of life and psychological dysfunction. It is being examined and determined if stroke survivors can continue to have considerable influence over their quality of life and psychological dysfunction though confirming relationships through correlation studies and research.

Research Question(s) and Hypotheses

RQ1- Is there a positive correlation between self-efficacy scores and quality of life after stroke?

H01: There is no positive correlation between self-efficacy scores and quality of life after stroke.

HA1: There is a positive correlation between self-efficacy scores and quality of life after stroke.

RQ2- Is there a negative correlation between self-efficacy scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke?

H02: There is a negative correlation between self-efficacy scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke.

HA2: There is a negative correlation between self-efficacy scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke.

RQ3 -Is there a negative correlation between the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke.

H03: There is a negative correlation between the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke.

HA3: There is a negative correlation between the General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) scores and psychological dysfunction after stroke.
