Pick any stock and estimate its value based on at least two competitors’ PE ratios. Use the companies’ forward P/E ratios, which can be found on the company’s Yahoo Finance page under the “Statistics” tab. Use analyst average EPS estimates for next year as an estimate of your company’s future EPS. These can be found under the “Analysts” tab on Yahoo Finance. Unfortunately, Yahoo Finance no longer provides analysis of firm competitors, but if you have trouble finding some, Google Finance provides a nice tool for this under “Related companies” on the company’s main stock page.
