Meat Standards Australia (MSA) is a meat grading system designed to predict eating quality. Write a 2,000 word essay based on the following:

(i) describe the MSA grading system;

(ii) identify and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the MSA grading system; and

(iii) explain how the MSA grading system improves market efficiency.

This assignment requires a certain amount of research. It requires you to read and understand relevant literature from the readings provided and other sources you may wish to consult. Relevant unit materials are Topic 5. The essay should comprise an Introduction, Main Body and Conclusion. Part (i) will form the basis of the Introduction and should clearly enunciate the rationale for the development and implementation of the MSA system. Parts (ii) and (iii) will comprise the Main Body of the essay. The conclusion should summarise the main findings and key conclusions of your essay.

The word limit excludes figures, tables and references. Please adhere strictly to the word limit. Word length in excess of the word limit will not be read and will not contribute to the assignment mark.
