The topic for my statistical mean paper will be is the mean starting salary for a recent college graduate with a bachelor's degree in Network Security? The salary could vary based on numerous of things such as the location or the experience of the individual. Someone will little or no experience will have a harder time getting a bigger salary compared to others with more hands on experience. This is something that I have always wanted to research based on the fact that student's salaries are sometimes higher than individuals with have more hands on experience in a certain field. I want to evaluate a person's educational background in comparison to a lesser educational background and see which salary is higher and for what reason.

I plan on questioning individuals that I know that are in the "IT World" to find out their background and beginning salary. This will be great because it will afford me the opportunity to know how the whole process work. Also, I will be informed of what makes a person "standout" against peers alike. I think the mean or starting salary for Network Security will be between 65,000 - 75,000.
