Growth rate: The average of PC manufacturing industry growth rate was 22.24% for 2004, 20% for 2005, and 17.29% for 2006. It showed that the industry's growth rate has been declined since 2004. The entire industry was losing demand, but Lenovo came strong to grab market share due to the acquisition of the IBM PC division in 2005. As the chart showed, Lenovo's revenue went up 458.03%. That was a bright move to bring Lenovo's sales revenue closer to its major competitors such as HP and Dell.
