Detailed Question:

The Factors that Differentiate Star Performing District Managers

In your final paper you will discuss the important factors or variables that differentiatethe Star Performing District Managers (DM's) from the non-Star Performing DM's.This paper will serve as an accumulation and culmination of your homework assignments pertaining to the case study. For example, each case study homework assignment will provide you with a piece of the puzzle to make your final conclusions. The tone and format of the paper should be written to serve as a formal response to the Vice President of the Tax Preparation and Services Company. It should provide a clear recommendation as to what factors or variables, if any, differentiate the Star Performing District Managers (DM's) from the non-Star Performing DM's.

In your paper you will address the following aspects of the case study for each of the 11 research questions provided in the case study.

1. Problem or Opportunity: What is the problem or opportunity that this study is seeking to address? Why is this study important and to whom?

2. Population:Who is the group from which the study participants were selected/drawn? This is also the larger group from which you intend to generalize the results of your study.

3. Sample: What was the methodology used to select your sample of participants for the study. Ideally, your sample should be representative of your population that you later want to generalize your results to.

4. Measures:What were the instruments that were used to collect the information/data necessary to answer the research questions? What do these instruments measure?

5. Procedure: What were the steps used to collect the information/data that you used to answer your research questions?

6. Research Questions:What research questions were used in the study?

7. Variables:What constructs did you manipulate or measuring (i.e., Independent or Dependent variables)?

8. Data: What data was collected specific to your measured variables? Was the data collected nominal, ordinal or ratio? How did you come to this conclusion?

9. Analysis: What types of analyses did you conduct on the data for each research question (e.g., descriptive and inferential statistics)? Why did you use this particular analysis?

10. Results and Interpretation:What were the results of your analyses? Did you reject the Null hypothesis and accept the Alternative hypothesis? Did you fail to reject the Null Hypothesis? What are your conclusions in non-statistical language? What is the headline?

11. Recommendation:What decisions can you make about what differentiates the Star Performing DM's from the non-Star Performing DM's?

12. Further Research Questions: What follow-up research questions remain to be answered (e.g., further research)?

Please also include an overall introduction and conclusion in your paper. The paper will be worth 200 points and will be due on March 2, 2016.
