College Writing Discussion

So, I need these questions answer in two separate discussion boards. The samples from where you will be answering the questions are below. Should be failry easy. Read the sample and then answer if it is a claim or not and why and so on. Do so in at least 400 words a piece and cite 2 references. Thanks.

Use these questions to aid the discussion:

• Is the statement actually a claim?
• Is it a claim of fact, value, or policy?
• Is the statement a thesis, with a topic and an angle?
• What type of evidence would best support this claim?

Samples

1. protection for endangered species
2. global warming and climate change

How to Proceed

Use the subject line "[your name's] [sample #]" for each sample, so there will be two  claims for each student. In addition to posting your own claims, please respond to at least two other students.
