The channel. the sender also chooses the most important channel to transmit the message. the sender may use any of the following:

a.Two way, face to face. this maybe in the form of interviews, oral reports, speeches, and teleconferencing.

b.Two-way, not face to face. telephone conversations and intercompany announcements are examples of this channel.

c.One-way, not face to face. The typical examples of this channel are written documents such as business letter, memorandum, report, press release, e-mail, facsimile and voice mail.

Inappropriate selection of channel can cause misunderstanding of the message which in turn may adversely affect the relationship of the sender and the receiver. a face to face meeting is a more appropriate channel for communicating sensitive and unpleasant messages. It provides the sender and the receiver instant feedback and the chance to read each other's non-verbal signals.
