Assignment

Prepare a complete financial plan for the alternative energy project that you have analyzed in this course, including analyzing how the project can best fit structurally and financially within your diversified energy company.

You may include the best work, both individually and as a team, from prior weeks as a part of this final plan. Be sure to include appropriate citations.

For Duke energy
Must get all numbers used for this from Duke energy real information

Must give exact location of information and numbers used with a link for professor to check. must show all calculations also on excel

Analyze how the project can best fit structurally and financially within your diversified energy company - Full financial analysis including WACC, D/E ratio discussion.

Submit a spreadsheet showing pro-forma income statements, cash flow analysis and NPV, including corrections for any prior work you use that was done individually or by the team in the work submitted. - Spreadsheet included showing clearly how cash flow is computed, how NPV is computed, and incorporating work and feedback from prior assignments.

Here are the tips from the teacher

Note of particular interest to me are the proforma income statements that you should prepare for your project (e.g. not the parent, the project).

You can then use the indirect method to figure the cash flow over the planning horizon and plug that into your NPV analysis.

Make sure you have a valid WACC used as your discount rate. Everyone should know about this by now, so I'll be looking at it fairly critically.

This must be followed completely.

Please make sure the pro forma statement is for the windmill renewable energy project and not Duke Energy as a whole. This is critical. Then use the indirect method to do the cash flow and put that into the NPV spreadsheet from the previous assignment.
